Where Should They Be Placed?
Portable toilets can be placed virtually anywhere outdoors, as long as there is a sturdy, level surface. You should avoid any obstacles such as low-hanging tree branches or fences. Ideally, there should also be ample space for lines to form.
How Often Will the Porta Potties Need to Be Cleaned/Emptied?
Porta potties should be cleaned just as much as any regular bathroom. You may be able to get away with your supplier emptying out them out once if you have a short event, but longer rental periods will require more maintenance. There are plenty of things you can do yourself to make sure your toilets stay clean, but a lot of the bigger tasks usually fall to the suppliers. Porta potties’ tanks have a limited capacity, and while these tanks are emptied regularly by the supplier provider, you should have an idea of how often a portable toilet can be used before the tank is full. As a rule, most toilets have a large enough tank that you don’t need to worry about this. But you don’t want to get into trouble if you have far more guests than you were expecting at your event, or your toilets go too long without getting the proper maintenance.
